Donors

From large corporations to individual patrons, the Governor's School for the Arts Foundation is proud to recognize a broad base of support for the unique programs of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.

Advocates for Arts and Education members are steadfast supporters who support the School with annual gifts of $1,000 or more.

Corporate Partners enjoy special benefits, such as meeting space on the School’s beautiful campus and the opportunity for students to entertain at their corporate functions.

A terrific way for parents, other relatives and friends to recognize their student family member is to make a donation at any level to the Foundation's Medici Student Aid and Enrichment Fund.

Special Event Sponsorships are available throughout the year to involve supporters of the School and to inform the public around the state about the School and the Foundation. The Midlands area Benefit Art Auction and the statewide Leadership Tribute are signature fundraisers that create opportunities for corporate and individual sponsorships.

Grants from other philanthropic foundations and organizations which support education and the arts are key elements to providing programs of excellence at the School.

Friends of the Governor's School are longtime supporters and distinguished friends who are closely involved with and connected to the School.

Honorariums and Memorial Tributes can be donated through the Foundation.

Scholarships may be endowed or funded each year to provide support for students who need assistance to pay either the meal plan fee for the school year or the tuition cost of the summer programs.

Endowment Funds will have long-term impact and may be established for a variety of reasons, such as to pay tribute to loved ones, to honor special occasions or to support certain interests. Donors who do not wish to establish their own named fund may give to the general endowment or to one of the existing named endowed funds that has been established.

Student Performances are wonderful vehicles for sponsoring the exhibition of student talent to the public.
In-kind donations are welcome. Donations must first be approved by the School’s Art Acquisitions Committee or Administration.

Legacy Society is for those individuals who have chosen to provide for the future of the School by leaving a planned gift or bequest.

JULY 2008 - JUNE 2009 DONORS

We recognize those who, through their generous and thoughtful support, have made an impact on our students, faculty, programs and facilities at the Governor's School. Your contributions to the foundation enhance the rich tapestry of cultural and educational opportunities offered at the school and sustain its tradition of enriching the lives of people in our state and throughout the world.  We hope you will continue to be a part of our efforts to assist and encourage the dreams of South Carolina's talented emerging artists.
