Leadership Tribute 2010
The Governor's School for the Arts Foundation proudly hosted its fourth annual Leadership Tribute to recognize individuals who have demonstrated noteworthy dedication to the future of the arts in South Carolina through their support of the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities.
This year we were pleaesd to present our J. Verne Smith Leadership Award to Joan S. Coker, R. Glenn Hilliard, Elizabeth P. Stall and David H. Wilkins, who have been instrumental in the life of the residential Governor's School since its beginnings. In addition, as a part of the school's celebration of its 10th Anniversary we honored Caleb Jones, a 2003 graduate of the school, with our first annual Alumni Recognition Award.
With School Board Chair Bob Hughes serving as our Master of Ceremonies, we commemorated the extraordinary efforts of our honorees with an Awards Presentation on the school's campus, followed by a beautiful reception in downtown Greenville's High Cotton restaurant.
